THANK YOU!!!
So, the big weekend has come to a close, and DAMN! I have to say THANK YOU to all who came out to the events, raced a bike, donated a prize, drank a beer, ate a burger, poured a latte, bought a spoke card, gave a presentation, drank a coffee, and opened up your mind and heart.
Mega post coming soon with racer props and placement, plus the grand total of all of our efforts.
This is what true community is all about. Working together, bustin' down borders.
Spoke cards will be up at Octane til the end of April and range from $1-$10, so if you'd like to still peep some sweet little art, come over to the shop!
Also, we are still featuring some very special Rwandan Coffee thanks to Counter Culture. I'll do an update when I check the inventory tomorrow!

...so here is the schedule of Events!
April 11th: Latte Art Throwdown and Grill Out 8pm. Rosettas, Charcoal Grills, PBR.
April 12th: City Wide Bicycle Relay Race, 6pm, Woodruff Park / Spoke Card Art Show, 8pm @ Octane, featuring work from numerous local artists. Race afterparty and race awards. Music by Zarlacc + Acidbath + Rhythm & Booze.
April 13th: Atlanta Pecha Kucha, 8:20pm. An evening of 20 slides at 20 seconds each. Each speaker has 6 minutes 40 seconds to share a slide show. Octane presents: Coffee In Reverse, and will trace a cup of coffee to origin in Rwanda.
April 14th: Rwandan Coffee Cupping, 7pm. Featuring Counter Culture's Rwandan coffees. Lorrie L. King with Just Cause, Inc. presents, Genocide: A Framework for Understanding.
In addition, Octane is celebrating the incomparable quality of Rwandan
coffee and the country's coffee-fueled triumphs with a month-long
series of events designed to honor and benefit the country's artisan
farming communities.
For the entire month of April, our regular espresso blend will be
replaced by a special, single-origin espresso roast from Humure,
Rwanda, a partnering coffee growing community of the Durham, NC-based
Counter Culture Coffee, which works on the ground-level with Rwandan
coffee farmers and supplies Octane with all its fresh-roasted coffees.
Also, instead of its normal daily selection, Octane's French press
program – which involves grinding and brewing to order – will feature
coffee from a different Rwandan coffee farmer cooperative each week.
